And after a while most of my friends were either dying or they were going to prison, and the way that I was going, from selling drugs and drinking and partying, I was heading the same direction.

I was born in Springfield. I kind of lived the country life. You know I like to fish and hunt as a kid. I did some basketball and rode my bike a lot. We did a lot of camping. And you know, I

I knew about God and I heard about God a lot. We went to church, but I never had a real relationship with Christ as a kid.

At 14 years old, I started selling drugs. I started selling marijuana. I was going to Sheldon High School. At 17 years old, I went to juvenile detention for four months for possession of fire

arm and menacing. When I got out, I tried to get a good job, trying to get my life back together, and I just kept going down the same route without Christ.

I just was hopeless. I continue to sell drugs. I got on worst drugs, pills, oxycon, and at twenty-four, I got on heroin and I just continued to sell drugs. I had a warrant out that I ran from the police for a long time, and my life just continue to snowball and a snowball effect that was going downhill.

In 2016, a man who's now my friend came to work with us. I was doing construction, which I did construction most of my life since, I was 14. He had a testimony that was similar to mine. He told me about how Jesus freed him from heroin as well, and that he found hope in Christ so he brought me back to church.

He started to encourage me and lift me up and I was still using drugs at that time. I wasn't fully ready to give my life over to Christ, but it felt nice to feel accepted and loved by these people, but I continued to party.

I continued to hang out with the same old friends and after a while, most of my friends were either dying or going to prison, and the way that I was going, from selling drugs and drinking and partying, I was heading the same direction.

My mom ended up getting cancer. I kind of just did my bottom, like I fell into a mode where I just realized that my life wasn't heading in the direction that I wanted and I needed a change. So I came to church, came back to church and I just got on my knees one night and just said, “God I need you to change me, I need you to make me the man that you need me to be.”

From that day, November 4th, 2018, God delivered from drugs and alcohol. He delivered me from a long time p***graphy addiction at promiscuity. All in one day, it was pretty amazing.

All the guilt and shame is gone. I don't feel any condemnation. I walk in Christ's love, is what it feels like. I just I know I'm loved. I know that Christ is with me and you know, I'm a completely new person. It's awesome.

Jesus is better than anything. It says in the book of Hebrews, 'He's better' 13 times.

Now I found those questions that I was asking myself, ‘Who am I?’ God showed me through his

word that it says that I'm a child of God. Now I'm the salt I'm the salt of the earth. I'm the light of the world. I'm forgiven and redeemed. I'm a partaker of Christ, that I'm brought into his family. I'm adopted into his family. It's amazing. He's shown me my purpose. We have this amazing banner at our church. It says. ‘you are made on purpose and for purpose. So I found that my purpose in life was to be in relationship with God. It is to be in a relationship with Christ and to worship him.
