2020 the year that I would definitely say it was the worst but the best for me. I'm Carlos I live in Springfield living my whole life. I was told me and my friends hey we got two extra weeks in spring break I'm like awesome I can't believe that we're gonna have two spring breaks and then it's gonna be awesome and then I don't know where I just heard that school was just canceled for the whole year. I had plans you know I had soccer plans I had college plans as well and being in my room all all day just playing video games and I just felt so empty. Everything felt so repetitive and it was just there when my buddy gifted me a Bible and his name is William and he's a leader at Young Life and he told me he's like here I'm gonna give you a Bible and that's the first ever Bible I was ever gifted.

I opened my Bible and I decided you know what I'm gonna read. I'm just gonna read and let's see what happens. I just opened a random book in the Bible and you know I just started reading who Jesus was and who Jesus is. is and who jesus will always be what really touched me is that i thought you know jesus was just you know a person history but he's more than that he is he is you know my my father figure he's my best friend and at 2020 the year that i would definitely say it was the worst but the best for me because for the worst you know it was a pandemic affected many people but that's when my relationship with god just took off my parents were catholic and i remember you know going to church i didn't really pay attention because i was a kid but uh something really called me to you know step out of the way and start searching my own stuff you know um it took me a while it took me until 17 years old to actually you know search god to find who he was because i just thought god's guy on the clouds is judging me i thought he was someone completely different but he just came to my life and he showed me his power his grace which i haven't had felt that ever ever in my life and sorry if i get emotional but it's just like how crazy how you know how graceful he really is because i don't normally have like the perfect past or anything just because of my childhood i dealt with a lot of stuff growing up but when i finally met god he just completely just saw me broken and he said perfect i'm gonna fix you up and that's when i really saw god's love in my life i just saw him change me i saw him you know it took me just to accept god and just you know god i believe in you i trust in you just let your will be done in my life it's just so crazy how you know god really changed me uh um i used to you know go to playing video games to playing the trumpet and i used to just being home all day to serving at church as an usher as a teacher as a worship leader.

I just give glory to god because i thought God was something else but he just showed to me it was making me a new identity and he showed me my identity as well came you know more of a follower to Jesus than rather just a here but then i became a doer because you know god's word is you know it's it's living because when you know god's word you read it you know you read it over and over again you're still going to learn more because god you know god's infinite but 2020 was for me the hardest year but the best year of my life is because you know that's when i you know i found god you know i found who he was i found his mercy i found my faith and i stopped sleeping and afterpi rn healthy i really felt like i was really Mafia Lordy I found His grace, and I found His love, although it was always there, but it took me to take a step and to search, to seek God, and that's when I received the answer on who God was.
